Ok... so other than feeling completley out of it (the nights are too long and I can't sleep), today was pretty awesome.
After school, after flipping out because I wasn't going to be able to go home before the concert- I practiced with Melissa and Megan (we danced. And it was amazing.) and then set up an interview with MIT (RANDOM). Then they left me :[ so I went to the cafe and found Gabbi and a bunch of sophomores finish the 12 days of Christmas thing...so I kinda helped. Kinda. I pointed out that there was no 8. And painted a LITTLE of the border (it was uneven. I had to fix it!). Then I was with Kyra, Jackie Zahn, and someone who's name I can't remember for the life of me were in the dark art room for no reason what-so ever. I helped Mrs. Fortier set up and practied with Mr. Anderson again (Emma approved- yay). Megan, Melissa and I continued to practice further in the library while everyone else were getting ready (at one point my mom came in so she can fix my hair because she was afraid I was still freaking out- thank goodness). Then we practiced with Select and went back to the library--- I brought up bowing and then we just had to practice bowing (and apparently Melissa lost an earing somewhere in the bowing practice. XD)
And then the concert started. I had the first solo- Actually, that wasn't bad~ Less time for me to think of how horribly wrong I can be. I went up too early- so Mrs. Fortier sent me back stage and I sat there laughing my head off for a good five minutes as they finished setting up. And then I sung. It wasn't bad, really. I, for sure, had the shortest one (what can I do? I'll be home for christmas is a short song.) - ha, the look on Mrs. Joseph's face made me laugh. I don't think it occured to her that I'm in Select. Maybe it's just that I'm generally in a happier mood when I'm performing. Shit- I should've done drama. It's alright, there's college, I guess. <3
Jazz was amazing. Prongsie, did you hear me? You were amazing. Emily T. gave me a flower.... and so did Prongsie (thank you, by the way. I love it.). And now they're in my room in a vase with water and it's a very pretty display. i will not take a picture though because my room is a mess. XD
<3 I'm in a relatively good mood. Yay.
Tired as hell, though.
But I really really really want to keep reading A Desitny of Souls by Anne Rice's kid who's name I can't remember for the life of me. It's an awesome book, though. Go read. Now.
I have to finish my Biology homework now.
Good night.

I need something to sing about
Dec. 3rd, 2009 | 11:53 pm
location: On the brightside
music: Daylight- Matt and Kim
You know the 'there's good news and then there's bad news' things? I hate it when people say they want the good news first. Why not take the bad news first and then take the good news to cheer you up?
Bad things:
- My pushover character has reached to work- I was alone at the registers for 2 hours because the guys knew that I would handle the lines no matter how long they got. I really did, too.
- My laptop doens't have a memory card slot- and my uncle said if I wanted to keep it I should go get a converter because he knows I like taking pictures(but he's still a bit upset that I won't send him pictures of myself.)
- I haven't talked to Claire properly in a while.
- I'm slacking off at school
- I'm slacking off in PHOTOGRAPHY... And I feel really bad because it's mr. anderson and he deserves more respect than that.
- I have SAT's this saturday
- I'm convinced that there's a school I didn't appy to- and I can't remember what school it is.
- Are you aware that graduation is only a little over 6 months away?
Good things:
- For some reason I enjoy work again.
- CHRISTMAS MUSIC
- I have playdoh- I don't know why I have playdoh-but I ain't complaining.
- TOMORROW IS PRONGSIE'S BIRTHDAY.
- This laptop is nice.
- I don't have to wear my uniform until after vacation!
- My mom just made cookies.
- I'm able to watch shows online again.
- Portal? Amazing much?
- I got my iPod back!
- I finally signed onto hogwarts for muggles.
- It's almost midnight and I'm not sleepy.
- I think I convinced my mom to let me get a bunch of christmas cds from josh groban, frank sinatra, and bing crosby. <3
- I GET TO GO CHRISTMAS SHOPPING THIS YEAR AND WASTE ALL THE MONEY I MADE ON SILLY THINGS FOR ELIE. <333
- I get to be an awesome big sister.
- Oh my god, I'm going to be santa clause.
- I bought a mickey mouse watch- the second hand has Mickey's head on it! I just noticed it, just now!
- That's all, I promise.
Hey guys, have an awesome night.

Writer's Block: Book review
Nov. 18th, 2009 | 08:43 pm
mood:
wtf?
music: Jesse's Girl.
.... you're kidding me, right?
Ban a book? Seriously? Holy fuck.
Why in the world would I want to do that?
Books, no matter what the subject, should never be banned. Ever. It's not right. It's...censorship, but that's not what I'm concerned about.
I'm concerned about the fact that people are banning books that will make someone think
Like Catcher in the Rye. That was banned.
So was The Perks of Being a Wallflower,
And Go Ask Alice.
Seriously- those are brilliant books. I'll never understand why people ban them
They were written for a reason.
They were published for a reason.
I'd rather have a well written controversial book than a poorly written approved book.
Just saying.

Yea. I might not get considered for the scholarship at BU just because of the fact that I'm taking an SAT in December... 4 days after the deadline.
But, I read my recommendations(after argueing with myself for weeks that it can't be that bad) They're kinda amazing. I mean, seriously, I had no idea that Mr. Carta or Mr. Anderson thought so highly of me (mrs. Fitz...well, I already knew that she thinks I'm epic when it comes to math.)
The one problem?
Each and every single one of them spelt my name wrong. Seriously. At one point Mr.Carta called me 'Liz.' What the hell, guys? I'm in the books, I wrote my name down for you...seriously, now?
But it's ok. They made up for it because now I know that not everyone in the whole world thinks I suck. At the very least, some people don't think I'm the biggest failure that the world has ever known.
It's a nice feeling, you know?

So. I can't be a banana for halloween.
Why not, you ask?
Simple. A 3 year old told me I can't. Duh.
Yea. Yesterday the most adorable 3 year old was with his parents, and they were buying sheets. He looked up at me and said he was going to be a ghost & that's why his mom is buying sheets. Then he asked me what I was going to be. So I told him that I didn't know but I might be a banana. And he told me no. He told me no because you're supposed to be something scary for halloween, and bananas aren't scary. I then asked if I was allowed to be a scary banana, and he proceeded to tell me that there are no such things as scary bananas, but I can be a banana after halloween if I want to.
Oh my god. I love that kid. So much. <3
I was in such a bad down mood and he seriously brighted my whole day/weekend/life.
Oh, when I came home today, i found a prom dress I didn't like and 25 bucks missing from my birthday money. Yea, My mom bought me a prom dress. ... I already have one, so why in the world do I need a new one? She told me in case I go to another prom. WHO'S PROM WOULD I GO TO, MY GOODNESS?
Yea. I'm returning the dress. XD It was kinda halarious though. Usually I come home to find my dad watching something weird like the history of beef(kind of interesting, by the way.) or my mom making something that you don't even want to know what it was originally. Today I come home to find a prom dress.
Annnnnnd now I'm going to attempt to do the rough draft of this theology paper.
Good night, everyone. :]

A post that's actually about events? That's new!
Ok, so, we have the rough draft of the research part of our Social Justice paper...I'm excited. I'm pumped for this. I want stay up all night long and just do the damn thing. I mean, seriously, since when has that ever happened? Since when am I ever looking forward to writing a paper- never? Yea, pretty much. Papers aren't my thing. But for some reason sitting down and looking up information about homeless kids and writing a 3 + page paper about it makes me...excited. Wow, I'm such fucking oddball.
The only thing that upsets me is the fact that Mr. Welch is giving us that stupid Healthcare project. Mr. Welch, you're awesome and all, but seriously? Now? You can't wait until next friday? OH, I am getting him a 'where's waldo?' calendar though. Hahahahahaha I
I'm so low I'm high. that's basically how I'm explaining myself. I'm so worried about everything that I'm happy. It's..it's like when you have a graph that has an asymptote~ it goes from negative infinity to postive infinity and that's why we have an asymptote. In all seriousness I'm going from the verge of tears to full out laughter and then back to feeling like all I want to do is sit down and have a good cry within seconds. And right now, obviously, I'm at my high (even though before I went on this page I felt like throwing something but the only things near me are my theology cards and then I'd have to play the index card version of 52+ pickup.) And the highs are pretty awesome.
So, as for today:
Costume: I want to be a bannana...unless I can figure out a way to be a disease. Do you think I'd be allowed to be a disease for halloween?
Rebekah- No one should talk to her that way. Or treat her that way. It- you just don't do that.
Before Select- I went with Meg, Melissa, Katie Harrison, and Emily Tehan to Dunkies... If it was any other day I would've never gone. I don't really do that thing...unless it's with Jackie/Jenna/Chrissy/the people I usually hang out with. But Jackie had instrumental and wanted a Pumpkin muffin so I got her one. I felt really bad becuase people are using Meghan (is that how she spells it? I've known her for 13 years, you'd think I know.) for rides... She doesn't like that.
Select- How long did it take Mrs. Fortier to realize that the plastic was still on the whiteboard? A long time. No wonder the marker/eraser was being a btich XD
After Select- I walked by Mr. Carta's room...it was wide open so I decided to walk in and see if his wall said "Happy Halloween" on it... IT DID! I so wrote on his board saying that his door was open and congrats on the completed wall decoration and that I miss his class.
Home-Apparently I missed something because everyone in my house is mad at each other? whoops. I kinda wish I had work today.
NO I DON'T, I WANT TO DO THIS PAPER.
Speaking of which, I'm getting off this thing now.
Have an epic win night, guys.
